MID ENGINE LAYOUT The MID engine does not mean the engine is exact located between the front and rear axle but the engine is located anywhere in between the front and rear wheel axle  There are mainly three types of MID engine layout 1. Front MID engine layout.  (FMR) 2. Rear MID engine layout.   (RMR) 3. MID Engine All Wheel Drive (M4) 1. Front MID Engine layout   In this type of layout engine is located between front and rear axle but near to the front axle and after (behind) the front axle or in other word at the rear of the front axle as shown in photo.
